Behind every model gliding down the runway there is a beauty squad of hair stylists and makeup artists working against the clock to create trends that we’ll be following next season. We round up some of the best FW18 beauty looks spotted backstage at NYFW.
There was plenty of emphasis on the eyes with many using bright primal colours along the lash lines, with Jeremy Scott taking angular shape all the way up to the eyebrow line. Carolina Herrera showcased a navy smokey eye while Kate Spade and Ulla Johnson added some dazzle to the lids.
The complexion is clean and even, many choosing dewy cheeks and shimmering cheek bones. Lips in most cases remained nude with exception of Brandon Maxwell and Tadashi Shoji who created their version of a rouge finish. As for hair, a lot of 90’s favourites are making a comeback including the crocodile clip everyone was snapping at Alexander Wang while Tom Ford presented luxe leather headbands. The nails were mainly neutral with Prabal Gurung using a soft grey hue.
