We adore the very first Bottega Veneta early fall 2016 collection for men. It’s an exploration of vivid colour, material and silhouette. There is a fresh focus on essentials for the season, with monochromatic looks using diverse fabrics and treatments. Creative director, Tomas Maier said:“I wanted this collection to have a lightness, so that it can be worn right through the summer to the first months of fall.”
New masculine proportions in shadow-dyed cotton, Japanese denim, needle-punched wool and waxed leather are all emphasised. For accessories, calfskin briefcases and document carriers are shadow-printed with checks, while nappa leather totes are partially woven and embroidered. Desert boots are in calf suede, while lace-up boots and slip-on sneakers come in different shades calf hair. Maier added: “Everything we do at Bottega Veneta is about quality, innovation and special techniques. Every detail is there for a reason, in each piece we create.”
