The doll is dressed in a replica of the crystal-embellished gown worn by Lily Aldridge to the 2017 CFDA Awards. He told WWD:

“I started my career designing dolls about 15 years ago and it was my first career before fashion. [The scented doll] is a nice way to combine that with what I’ve been doing in fashion and fragrance, which is relatively new to me. It’s combining three facets of my career.”

Wu’s Eau de Parfum itself is a collaboration with perfumer Frank Voelkl and carries key notes of Jasmine Sambac. The scent is blended with pink pepper and fig that are balanced with a smooth Musk base.

According to WWD the designer is working on his second fragrance and a collection of scents for 2020.

The Jason Wu Beauty Parfum that were available exclusively on Net-A-Porter have sold out, but more stock will be coming soon.
