Ravishing Australian beauty Shanina Shaik closed the Ralph & Russo couture show for A/W 2016-17 in a white tulle fishtail gown, featuring a silk organza cocoon cape and a tulle veil. The model is soon to be a bride herself to DJ Ruckus.
In 2011 Shanina became the fifth Australian model to walk for Victoria’s Secret, joining Miranda Kerr, Elyse Taylor, Jess hart and Abbey Lee Kershaw. For Ralph & Russo latest bridal show she wore a lavish hand-embroidered gown with silk threadwork, crystals, pearls and glass beads, and adorned with feather and taffeta hand-cut flower appliqué.
The gown was made of thousands of micro beads and little drop crystals with 3D silk threadwork and over 4000 flowers, hand-made of silk satin, organza and tulle. Each petal was individually cut and shaped, then appliquéd with touches of feather. All this took over 50 embroiders in over 3000 hours!
