London Collections Men came to a close with Coach 1941’s spring 2017 menswear collection. The show, held in Lindley Hall, had a playful, sporty and cool aesthetic that echoed American wardrobe classics, with elements of the ‘50s.
Creative director Stuart Vevers even turned up in a retro Mickey Mouse tee. The collection itself was a mix of three to four key colours: black, white, red and yellow. Striking varsity and bomber jackets seemed to be a collection mainstay this season, paired with slim jeans and T-shirts, on the runway. The jackets also came in leather with strap fastenings and cartoon sketches by LA-based illustrator Gary Baseman.
