Milan Fashion Week Day One

How do you kick off Milan Fashion Week day one in a place where some of the greatest designer dynasties are based? With Gucci of course.

Many wonder if Alessandro Michele will ever break away from his extravagant signature and the simple answer is no. He is not lead by trends but by his natural creativity for something artistic and unusual, and the customers love it.

Next, we headed to Rotonda della Besana in Milan for the SS18 collection from Alberta Ferretti. The pieces focused on shapes and detail rather than bold summer hues. Perfect for a minimalist with a taste for something sensual that can be worn from day to night.

The femininity carried through to No 21 with plenty of sparkle and sheer fabrics to feast your eyes on. A collection made for a confident and sassy woman.

For more minimalist pieces look to the latest offering from Fausto Puglisi who stripped back to a black and white palette of beautifully cut pieces with unique details such as gold beading and ivory lace.

Bulgari closed the day with with a glamorous party at their Milan hotel celebrating the collaboration with shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood.
