Burberry bags were given a new look during Christopher Bailey’s last show for the house where he introduced The Belt Bag inspired by the classic trench coat.

Defined by key elements, the Belt Bag’s shape is influenced by the contours of the lapel and soft movements of the classic gabardine fabric and features an oversized belt. Available from this month, it comes in a medium and large size featuring a tonal belt with an additional strap in a contrasting colour. Choose from an array of shades including chalk white with a bright-yellow lining and use the detachable strap to wear crossbody when on the go.

For those prefer their accessories on the petite size can mark May in the diaries as the smaller version in range of nine colours and a clutch in two sizes – medium and large will land in the boutiques. The medium and large Belt Bag will also be available in new colours and fabrics, including a combination of canvas and leather.

Coat weather is over, but it doesn’t mean you can’t have a handbag version of Burberry’s celebrated trench.
