There’s no escaping the backless mules trend, but this season the masculine silhouette has been given a feminine touch.
Heeled mules landed at the top of our spring wish list, and we don’t mean the stiletto kind. It’s the in between size that we crave as not only do they deliver plenty of style but also comfort – finally not a bad word in the fashion vocabulary. Not too casual or over the top, the happy medium heel height adds just enough personality without treading into the boring territory.
To avoid being overly laid back, go for closed toe styles and look for detailing like a sparkling heels that we spotted at Gucci, or geometric shapes that Loewe and Jacquemus have plenty of. Neutral shades never go out of fashion, but don’t be afraid to go through all the colours of the rainbow – it is spring after all.
