Stefano Sassi, CEO of Valentino, said of the event, ‘we are very happy to present the first collection under the collaboration with Luxottica. We believe that this partnership, that combines our savoir-faire and Luxottica’s great expertise, will be the occasion to develop a great project within the eyewear segment, bringing this accessory line to the same success as all others.’

Leonardo Del Vecchio, Executive President Luxottica Group said, ‘today, with Maison Valentino, we share the emotion that always coincides with the launch of the first collection of a collaboration. The eyeglass, once again, becomes fashionable and interprets the unique language of the Maison through the experience, the research of materials, the attention to detail, the excellence in the execution and elegance. The encounter between two great entrepreneurial businesses, both Italian and international, that are able to sense emotion with modern and cosmopolitan taste, will take us very far.’

‘A Change of Perspective’ was the theme of the event, where each guest actively participated in an immersive experience: ‘Though we see the same world, we see it through different eyes’ stated Virginia Woolf.

In this eyewear collection, the Maison Valentino aesthetic and timeless elegance take form in a mix of sensual designs and metals, glam crystals and nylon and the stud on the temples, the iconic symbol of the Maison. The craftsmanship, the attention to detail and to the materials used make the glasses an accessory with a unique value, just like all Valentino creations, under the Creative Direction of Pierpaolo Piccioli. Quality and expertise in this category is guaranteed by Luxottica.
