One of Loewe’s most popular product lines is its leather animals. These coin purses were invented almost by accident by one of the craftsmen in the Loewe atelier located in the outskirts of Madrid. With a few clever stitches, he transformed a piece of leftover leather into a little bear. How adorable is that? These bears were made available to customers, along with bulls and elephants, all constructed from leather using a similar technique. Loewe’s animals show the expertise of the artisans, the design of a clever pattern and the talent of the craftsmen in building a three dimensional object with a piece of leather and just a few stitches.

After a prelaunch in China, the Panda bag and charm will be on sale now from October in Loewe stores and loewe.com.
