Designers get sporty for Euro 2016

To commemorate Euro 2016 ten designers created a range of sportswear pieces in collaboration with yoox.com. Peter Pilot told Vogue: “There’s so much innovation that goes into sportswear. I’ve always been fascinated with it. There’s an element of sportswear in what we do, and it could be translated and pushed further.” Pilotto has designed a range of T-shirts and sweatshirts with other designers including Dries Van Noten, J.W.Anderson, Paul, Smith and Umit Benan to name a few.

The task at hand was to take inspiration from their homelands. Pilotto was inspired by mountain-sport culture of Austria’s Alps, J.W.Anderson looked at Ireland’s predictable shamrock whilst Paul Smith focused on the swinging ‘60s in London.
