In the heart of Paris, Saint Laurent’s Spring 2017 show was staged under a mirrored ceiling in impressive surroundings of a palatial building site. It was a former monastery-turned-military headquarters and it will soon become the new YSL headquarters. It was an edgy, moody and glamorous event; an almost-all-black parade of leather, lamé and puff sleeves. The inspiration was the chic and sophisticated ’80s with a biker chick modern vibe.
