Shop Now: Feathers For Fall’17

Dana Mortada   |   10-10-2017

From casual street to over-the-top exaggeration, these fluffy details are making a very strong comeback.

The Fall Winter 2017 runways showed plenty of feathers sprouting out of satin sandals and peeking out from hems, proving that feathers are finally becoming street-friendly and are not just pretty on couture gowns.

We spotted feathery details at Balenciaga, with models nearly covered in flurry of feathers from head-to-toe; also at Miu Miu and J.W. Anderson we saw many skirts and dresses adorned with feathers; and delicate feather embellishments were also seen on the sleeves and hems at Alexander McQueen and Elie Saab.

Designers created a new blend of fabrics that makes this fluffy material look fresher and suitable for day-wear. Not to worry, if you still need more time to get used to this bird trend, there are many stylish feather accented accessories like shoes, bags and jewellery.

As it appears, this year is all about celebrating feminism and the addition of feathers for an instant glamorous touch to your Fall look.
