The Big Shoe Trends Of The Summer

The shoes for Summer 2017 are fresh and varied, but they all have something in common; they are all super-fun and fashion forward. We’ve got a run-down of the shoe trends that are becoming the biggest hits of the summer so you can have some fun with your footwear!

Sock Boots

Since they strutted down the runway at Balenciaga, the sock-boot has been the freshest boot shape that celebrities have been trying out in their droves.

Sliders And Slippers

Sliders and slippers have been possibly the biggest and definitely the most comfortable trend of the season so far. They’re laid back and street-wise and yet can be elevated with sequins, prints and experimental fabrications.

Funky Heels

Designers had fun with their heel shapes this season. Not confining themselves to simply a thin or block heel, there were spirals, spheres and even boats at Thom Browne.

Kitten Heels

Kitten heels have always been a tricky heel height and have come in and out of fashion over the years; however, they are most definitely back with so many top designers adding them to their footwear repertoire for the season. Dior’s have been the most iconic, with their bold branding and strong monochrome look.

Flatforms

Flatforms have been on the radar for the past few seasons but for summer they are bright, bold and quirky; all had something different about them. Gucci gave an oriental design that would be a classic pair to invest in, and Balmain’s version were metallic and glitzy.

Socks With Sandals

This trend was all over the spring/summer catwalks but it was Kendall Jenner that cemented this trend on the Cannes 2017 red carpet. The heels must be strappy and the sock must be anything but boring; think sequins, ruffles and sheer fabrics.
