Julien Dossena’s Pre-Fall 2018 for Paco Rabanne focused on the vast audience revealing the brand’s lightweight and stylish spirit.

Compared to his previous range, Dossena went with a much more toned down vibe, bringing in new innovative techniques and materials. Vertical stripes added a whole lot of sophistication to the body-hugging silhouettes, there was a navy-blue knit dress with metallic stripe, similar to paint-roller effect.

An airy black crepe skirt is layered with a thick rubbery-like shiny grey top- as if the garments were dipped into a silver pot. The French-born designer displayed a series of embellished well-fitted sheer dresses and pants in light cream and jet-black colours decorated with metal studs.

He also featured a lot of practical fabrics such as jersey, which worked out in his favor to merge the bridge between daytime and evening dressing. And silver mesh was used all throughout the shiny collection, especially on elegant skirts with a big slit.
