In May, Gucci revealed that for a one off occasion they will take their next fashion show from Milan to Paris.
Now the brand have announced Théâtre Le Palace on 8 Rue du Faubourg-Montmartre as the location for the upcoming Spring 2019 collection.
Constructed in the 17th Century, the venue was used as a musical hall, theatre and then cinema before it was transformed into one of the hottest nightclubs in the city, attracting the fashion and music crowds. Now it serves as performance space for variety of events, including Hedi Slimane’s surprise 50th birthday party over the weekend.
“The Théâtre Le Palace resonates with the vision of the house as it is a venue that gave life to a (sub)culture that has inspired young generations up until today,” read a statement from the house.
Scheduled for September 24, Gucci will be the first fashion house to host a runway show in this historic location and this will be the final part of Alessandro Michele’s three-step tribute to France.
