We take you behind the scenes of one of the most spectacular events this fashion month – the Chanel SS18 runway show.
As King Karl emerged from the man-made mountain to a resounding applause and a line up of top models, we knew we had to a get a closer look at the world that he created for the Spring/Summer 2018 collection.
The setting of cliffs and waterfalls, inspired by Gorges du Verdon, was created inside the Grand Palais and got as much attention as the clothes, but the pieces did hold their own. His latest creations had a feeling of youthful optimism with colourful tweed, flowing fabrics and transparent accessories such as the knee high boots. Inspiration behind the plastic fantastic selection? Water.
Everyone emerged feeling uplifted from the Chanel SS18 water sanctuary. It seemed to ease some of the fashion week tension while the jackets, dresses, bags and hats gave us something new to look forward to next year.
