MeMe London is a London based fashion Jewellery brand which has grown over the last 18 months from their official launch party on Vogue “fashion night out” following fashion week. They design colourful, top quality beaded bracelets with lucky charms as well as fine gold and silver plated rings and earrings.

The brand was born when two best friends Andraya Smith, a former fashion buyer and stylist, and Alexandra Harrington, an ex city financier, came together to create a fun, flirty, feminine, fashion forward line of top quality stackable bracelets and colourful eye-catching statement jewellery. Their love of fashion, travel, interior design and adventure not only united them as friends but helped to inspire their first collection.

a&e talk to co-founder Andraya Smith:

What was the inspiration to start the brand?

With my background in fashion and Alex’s in finance we make a perfect team. In fact, we became business partners only months after we became friends and have never looked back. We both love jewellery and wanted to design a line that was made up of beautiful jewellery at good prices that we could mix with pieces and fine jewellery to add some colour and excitement to our every day style.

What makes your jewellery special?

Our jewellery is fun and playfull with many pieces symbolising good luck, health and happiness all three things we believe are the key to living a full life.

Best selling pieces?

Our best selling pieces are our bracelets, the Nicky earring, and the Anna ring.

How are you growing in the Middle East?

We’ve worked with some bloggers and style influencers in the region. We have a huge love affair with the Middle East and take a lot of our design inspiration from there. We are currently working on finding select stockists in Dubai to make shopping for MeMe even easier for our Middle Eastern clients. We sell in boutiques in Oman such as Eye Candy boutique Muscat.  Currently, we also offer free worldwide shipping on all orders over £75.

How important is the Middle East market for your brand?

The Middle Eastern market is hugely import to us. We find it is home to some of the most stylish woman on the planet who hail from all over the globe. It is a honour and a privilege for us every time we spot our jewellery on a woman from the region. We are constantly working to bring new designs to our line that are not just on trend but also timeless.

Any mottos you follow?

Our brand motto is “It’s all about MeMe.” That being said we love any type of inspirational quote. Social media is such a powerful tool where we find daily inspiration and work hard to maintain a positive space on our own Instagram to inspire others.

Whats next in 2016/17?

We are excited to announce Harvey Nichols will soon carry our entire collection on their website at www.harveynichols.com. Alex is now living in Miami and is working hard to grow the brand stateside and I am focussing on Europe and the Middle East. Although the bracelets continue to be our bestsellers we are excited to be expanding our fine jewellery line in the fall.
