Rami Al Ali has joined forces with Nadine Kanso to design a series of modern statement-making kaftans for Ramadan.
Kanso is well known for her precious adornments and artworks depicting contemporary Middle Eastern life and showcasing the Arabic language through calligraphy. Whilst Al Ali, is synonymous for his fusion of East and West along with his combination of modern shapes and classic luxurious fabrics. Bringing the two together has resulted in a unique collection that is ideal for celebrating the holy month and beyond. Al Ali said:
“I love Nadine’s work as an artist and we have so much in common as we both embrace our heritage and like to showcase it in an aesthetically modern way. We also love merging the east and the west, the old and the new, and the modern and classic.”
Electric, modern, young and chic full length, these kaftans are made from the finest fabrics such as light crepe, tweed lamé, tweed lurex and organza while the designs around the shoulders, necklines, sleeves and the lengths stand out with elegant floral prints created from Kanso’s signature Arabic embellished calligraphy.
