Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton surprises us once again with a mystical universe displaying a splendid Spring Summer 18 show at the Orangerie du Sénat in Paris. Tonight the designer unraveled a world of wild gardens with a heavy on florals ready-to-wear collection and a magical climax with one of the most intricate beaded pieces and deconstructed layers the season has ever seen.

This season she paints a dark romantic picture with leather, plaid and hypnotising florals. Burton’s clan dazzled with a series of hand-painted leather biker jackets matched with a 3D floral embroidered tulle dress, and mixed up with tailored trench coats layered over delicate chiffon dresses in soft pastels.

Then there were plenty of fabulous pieces, including a checked monochrome pantsuit paired with punk ankle-boots, a roughly belted ivory padded-coat, plus a few organza frill dresses in poppy and pink hues. Finally, the show climaxed with voluminous tulle evening gowns adorned with more wild colouful flowers.
