Showcased at the Hôtel de Ville, the master of textures welcomed a FW18 collection for Balmain full of iridescent glory.

Olivier Rousteing celebrated the Parisian brand’s aesthetics with detailed reality of holographic and transparent pieces mixed with updated denims. Rousteing took us to another dimension as his army of models pranced down the runway to the ‘80s hit song, “You Keep Me Hanging On” for Kim Wilde, displaying eye-catching details of heavy metal statements with strips of silver. The high-shine collection was all about enlightenment and power, injected with more relevance than ever before.

It was a glittering party that included silver disco jumpsuits; the signature Balmain blazer came in transparent rainbow, and distressed high waisted jeans were fully wrapped all around with glossy plastic. Also there were a loose casual jackets in light pale hues coordinated with sequined pants.

Keeping us on the edge of our seat from one season to another, Olivier again presents memorable creations suitable for the eclectic and confident Balmain woman of today’s time.
