Sarah Jessica Parker has your special day outfit covered head to toe as she collaborates with Gilt on a bridal line and launches her first SJP wedding shoe collection.
Parker is designing 10 styles ideal for a modern non-traditional bride that will see her look her best from the bridal shower through to the wedding reception. Expect a variety of classic silhouettes as well as impressive gowns, modern bodysuits, full skirts and a jumpsuit. The colour palette consists of white as well as soft tones of pink, gray and blue.
As part of the launch, Gilt will offer 15 exclusive styles from the SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker footwear line. Parker told WWD that she never planned to design bridalwear, but with many clients seeking out her shoe creations for their special day, it was the right time to envision two collections that work harmoniously together. She added:
“The intent is they should be usable outside of that special occasion. Whether you’re the person walking down the aisle, or you’re attending, these are all pieces that should be relevant in your closet. There are some pieces that feel more decadent and more specifically bridal. There’s no law saying they’re not appropriate for many other important occasions as well.”
Known for her impeccable style and unique approach to fashion, Gilt collaboration elevates minimalist shapes with sweet bows, detailed embroidery, feathers and hand stitched beading. Tom Ott, chief merchant of Gilt told WWD:
