Arab Fashion Week Takes Over A Royal Cruise Liner

Arab Fashion Council have announced that the next Fashion Week will be held onboard the newly opened Queen Elizabeth II cruise ship, now permanently docked in Mina Rashid marina.

 

The 6th edition of the Arab Fashion Week in Dubai will be the first so-called ‘floating fashion week’ in the world and will act as a platform for promoting regional talent and international designers that will showcase their collections to establish their business in the region.

This season, designers from 13 different countries are participating including UAE, Russia, UK, Venezuela, Lebanon, USA, KSA, China, Taiwan, Portugal, Italy, Armenia, and Egypt. It will also see the launch of an eco-friendly collection under the name of AFC Green Label, which is a major move towards fashion sustainability in the region. Jacob Abrian, CEO of the Arab Fashion Council, said:

 

“We are proud and honored by this strategic partnership with MBM Holding which aims to implement the vision of the Arab Fashion Council in positioning the UAE on the international map of fashion and design economy.”

 

Arab Fashion week will take place between May 9 – 12 on QE2.
