In the UAE, the tallest building in the world lit up pink recently to encourage women to have regular mammograms for the early detection of breast cancer. Similarly Dubai’s Burj Al Arab can be seen sporting the famous ribbon logo, reminding women to put their health first and work together towards finding the best treatment and eventually a cure for the disease, which claims the lives of 30 per cent of women in the region. It is also a fact that one in 10 Arab girls born today are predicted to be diagnosed with the disease in later life.

BOBBI BROWN COSMETICS – Art Stick Duo

Choose from a soft neutral or bright pink matte finish. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation will receive a donation from every purchase.

DONNA KARAN LIQUID CASHMERE BLUSH EAU DE PARFUM

The jasmine-laced scent gets the pink-ribbon treatment this month, with 25 per cent of sales going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

OPI – Nail Polish

Salons stocking OPI nail polish are helping raise awareness with a pink and white ribbon manicure. The ‘Bubble Bath Pink’ and ‘Alpine Snow White’ are available for purchase at AED 49 each at Sephora and Wojooh.

SENSASIA – Bali Chic Massage

SensAsia has come up with a bespoke treatment named Bali Chic to raise money for Friends of Cancer Patients – a charity under the patronage of her highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi. 10 per cent of profits go to charity.
