One of our favourite online shopping destination Farfetch is coming to the Middle East in a special partnership with Chalhoub Group.
The joint venture will see the launch an Arabic-language site early this year that will house brands that will appeal to local consumers and allow you to shop some of Chalhoubs top names including Level Shoes, Level Kids and Tryano.
“We are the beginning of the online journey,” said Patrick Chalhoub, chief executive of Chalhoub Group. “We definitely think there is this gap in the market… only 0.5 percent of the luxury business even gets to the Middle East through their e-commerce platforms.”
The e-commerce market in the region is still in it’s infancy but with a fast growing demand for the digitally savvy shoppers and popularity of online platforms like ounass.com and themodist.com, we imagine this partnership to be a quick success story.
