For Dior’s SS18 campaign, the French house chose model and artist Sasha Pivovarova. Photographed by no other than the legendary Patrick Demarchelier, the latest ad campaign shows Pivovarova posing the new ready-to-wear collection, surrounded by her unfinished large portraits of women that are a reflection of the model and her emotions.
According to Dior’s artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri, this new personal campaign is a resemblance of the French-American artist and filmmaker Niki de Saint Phalle- who was a big influence on this sophisticated collection. Also inspired by the 1960’s the ad campaign displays a playful spirit and a cheeky vibe while promoting a strong feminist message across the world.
