A Walk Of Fame is on the cards for the emirate, channelling the popular tourist attraction in LA, California.

One of Los Angeles’s most popular tourist attractions is undoubtedly the Walk Of Fame, located along Hollywood Boulevard.

The landmark is made up of over 2000 terrazzo and brass mix stars that are each engraved with the names of notable people within the entertainment industry, from Audrey Hepburn to Jennifer Lawrence.

As well as a popular spot for visitors to stroll down and snap pictures with, being granted a star along the walkway has been held as a pivotal moment in the careers of actors and singers, often becoming a newsworthy moment.

But now Dubai-dwelling won’t need to fly stateside to catch a glimpse, as it’s been teased that the emirate will soon have it’s very own walk of fame.

Development giants Emaar – the company behind iconic structures such as The Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall  – has announced plans to create a similar tourist attraction.

To kick start the project, a social media campaign will request nominations for the first 400 names of famous people from across the globe to be immortalised in the designs.

The winners of the initial 400 names will be presented with their stars in October 2019.

Adding monikers year on year, the aim will be to dwarf the original by boasting a whopping 10,000 golden stars.
