Claire Waight Keller’s debut Couture collection for Givenchy was made for powerful modern women, with a small introduction of men’s couture, and we have an exclusive look at some of the backstage snaps that have not been seen anywhere else.

The designer delivered pieces that were worthy of their couture status and also wearable. Strong tailoring and emphasis on black dominated making us want to sprint to our nearest tailor for a new suit. Show notes cited the lunar cycle with one dress reflecting this with black-and-white spheres as decoration, but it were the intricately crafted gowns with multi coloured skirts, structural layers of tulle and lace and bold coats with feather trim that struck a chord and made everyone look at Givenchy, and Waight Keller, in a whole new way.

Scroll through the gallery above for closer look at some of these breathtaking pieces.
