Karl Lagerfeld Unveils Claridge’s Christmas Tree

Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has unveiled his take on the Claridge’s Christmas tree.

We expected the head of Chanel and Fendi to come up with something unusual and he didn’t disappoint with the 16-foot tree positioned upside down in the hotel lobby.

Inspired by his own childhood – must’ve been an adventurous one – the German designer decorated the inverted tree with silver lametta, silver butter leather feathers and snowflakes handmade by craftsmen in Germany. At the base he placed Icelandic sheepskin rugs that represent snowfall.

Visitors in London’s Mayfair will be able to admire his creation from now until the end of the festive period.
