Loewe has recently launched a new capsule collection inspired by the work of the renowned British artist, writer and textile designer, William Morris.

For this exclusive collection, creative director Jonathan Anderson selected four iconic prints from the Morris & Co. archives, produced  between 1874 and 1883 as wallpaper and fabric designs, such as Strawberry Thief, Forest, Acanthus and Honeysuckle.

“William Morris fundamentally changed the way we look at applied craft, making him one of the most important designers of the last 200 years,”- Anderson commented about the new collection.

The Spanish luxury house creatively transposed the striking designs onto leather jackets, jeans, and dresses, including on some of the brand’s accessories, such as the Puzzle and Hammock bags, plus on scarves, brooches and backpacks. The collection’s most standout pieces are a black leather biker jacket printed with a fox motif, and a vivid orange calf tote with a silkscreen print of a Morris chair.

For the digital look book, the range was photographed at Standen House- a historic national trust property in West Sussex, England; famous for its magical gardens and for its original interior fully decorated with Morris carpets and wallpapers.

LOEWE’s latest capsule collection will be available in stores on November 2017.
