Ralph Lauren will be adding a touch of dazzle to New York Fashion Week as the brand celebrates 50 years.
On September 7, the designer will be hosting an extravagant event to mark the milestone. According to WWD, it will be held in Central Park and will combine a fashion show and party.
The venue is closely linked to the house’s 40th anniversary which was held in Central Park Conservatory with over 400 guests. On this occasion, the designer chose the Bethesda Terrace to hold the event which in return will will benefit the Central Park Conservancy.
One thing for sure is that the designer has a lot to celebrate this year. A few weeks ago, he was awarded the first CFDA Members Salute by fellow American designers, including Thom Browne, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Jason Wu and Donna Karan for his career in fashion.
For a man that has dedicated half-century to the industry, he has become a true icon not only in America, but around the world.
