As The Dubai Mall, aka the biggest mall in the world, celebrate 10 years next month, team a&e pick some of our favourite spots to eat, shop and see.

Do

The Dubai Mall aquarium is a must. Not only is it one of the biggest glass homes for marine life in the world, there’s fish feeding, scuba diving and behind the scenes tours. Our tip, is to skip the tunnel walk through and head straight to the underwater zoo.

The biggest mall in the world is also adjacent to the tallest building of the world so tick them both off your list and go to the highest point possible on the Burj Khalifa.

Cool off at the ice rink where you can get one to one lessons and sometimes spot the local hockey ice hockey teams go head to head. If you want one of the most luxurious cinema dates, book a couple of comfy leather seats at the Platinum screen by ReelCinemas and enjoy great food and beverages.

Got a couple of kids full of energy? Kidzania is your answer to interactive and fun activities that even the parents might enjoy.

Top tip: for the best spot to see the fountain show, head to the balcony of the Apple Store.

Eat

One of our favourite breakfast spots is Two at Symphony located in the fashion extension and sits above the store. The décor is chic while the food is as equally healthy as it is indulgent. L’Eto and Aubaine are also Insta-worthy spots for breakfast and lunch.

The Labenese restaurant Lebabel has an enviable spot and is ideal for a post shop dinner, as does Emirati concept Logma that serves traditional dishes like machboos and khamir.

Shop (obviously)

The new fashion extension might’ve stolen some of the limelight from the rest of the mall, but there is a good reason for it. Housing some of the leading brands from the world of fashion, accessories and beauty, it’s one of the best retail experiences in town. Latest boutiques include Chanel’s first stand alone beauty store on the third floor and Sergio Rossi.

Bloomingdale’s is another must with an impressive men’s department, wide range of swimwear brands and a great selection of emerging labels (psst their Christmas decorations are in stock). You can also spot us checking out the latest drops at Sephora, &Other Stories, Charlotte Tilbury and Level Shoes.
