Burj Khalifa NYE Fireworks Might Not Be The Best Ones To Watch This Year

Everyone was excited to hear that the New Year’s fireworks will be back to light up the Burj Khalifa this December following last year’s lazer show, but it might not be the best display to watch in the UAE this time around.

Abu Dhabi will attempt to break the Guinness World Record on the 31st with the largest sentence ever written in fireworks, saying “Happy New Year 2019”. During the course of the 10-minute display on the Corniche, the letters – using iron “sky towers” technique –  will be reaching 40 meters in height in various colours.

It will definitely be worth the trip just to be part of what could be a historic moment but if not, the capital will also be lighting up the sky as the clock strikes midnight at Emirates Palace, Yas Marina and Al Maryah Island.

Want to dance your way into the new year? Egyptian star Amr Diab and Lebanese singer Myriam Fares will take to the stage at the Galleria and Promenade on Al Maryah Island.

Looks like Dubia has some serious competition this year.
