I watch The Grinch because my kids love it, but I also put on The Holiday with Kate Winslet and Jude Law, it’s a modern-day classic.

There are three movies that make me feel extra festive and they are Elf (‘Santa, oh my god! I know him’), The Holiday and of course, Love Actually (‘Would you like it gift-wrapped?’)

I love watching Home Alone, it reminds me of my childhood, I’m also a sucker for The Holiday, it’s good to be a little bit romantic during this amazing time of the year! And also Joyeux Noël – this movie reflects Christmas through the eye of French, Scottish, and German soldiers in December 1914. It tells a story of an unofficial Christmas truce on the Western Front that allowed soldiers from opposing sides of the First World War to gain insight into each other’s way of life.

I don’t want to say that Love Actually is the best Christmas movie ever made as my husband would disagree (it is), so we compromise and always watch Bill Murray in Scrooged and The Muppet Christmas Carol.

I don’t mind watching any Christmas movies but nothing too spooky. What I like the best Home Alone 3.
