We Found Best… Restaurants To Have Iftar In Beirut

Dana Mortada   |   10-05-2018

There’s nothing more meaningful than breaking a fast with table surrounded by loved ones over delicious food. The holy month of Ramadan is just around the corner, it is a perfect reminder of how we often take things for granted, and especially food being the main example. From Fattouch to oven-roasted chicken and beyond, here is our Ramadan edit of the best restaurants to enjoy a tasteful iftar found in Beirut. Ramadan Mubarak!

Abd El Wahab

For many years, Abd El Wahab has gained a high reputation within the Lebanese Cuisine in Lebanon and internationally. Named after the street it located at, the décor features a rich oriental touch with stunning damascene walls made out brass, giving off the right ambiance to enjoy the authentic Lebanese hospitality. Similarly to the extravagant setting, the food is also impeccable; enjoy their massive variety of Lebanese mezzes, along with a typical grilled meat and chicken selection. And don’t forget to leave room for dessert!

Mosaic Restaurant- Phoenicia Hotel

Mosaic is an all-day restaurant at Phoenicia Hotel; guests are welcomed for breakfast, lunch and dinner around a generously full buffet. A must try is their Ramadan buffet that is always impressively tasty, and full of options from Lebanese food to Italian, Japanese and a beautiful colourful dessert section.

Em Sherif

For a different Iftar dining experience, Em Sherif is the place to go. Full of innovative Lebanese dishes, their Iftar set menu is one of its kind, serving nearly three-dozen dishes one dinner table. We love the bite-size manaeesh, also a must try is the eggplant fattouch drenched in pomegranate molasses; and you better save some room for their famous Oum Ali dessert (hot bread pudding served soaked in sweetened milk, raisins, and coconut).

Babel- Dbayeh

Situated between temple style walls, Babel is an authentic Lebanese restaurant but served with a special twist. Everything from hommos to the tabbouleh and even the kebbe is prepared with unexpected recipes. A rich menu full of tasty choices, but their desserts are on a whole different level, where they bring out a mix between traditional Arabic and oriental sweets.
Onno Bistro

Known as one the best homemade Lebanese Armenian restaurant in country, Onno Bistro is the place where your taste buds will experience a new kind of spectacle with a unique presentation. From the sourness Zeytov Dolma (stuffed eggplants with rice, olive oil, served with yogurt) to the kebab served with red cherry chutney and covered with toasted cashew nuts and almonds, Onno will keep you coming back for more.
