Brands, salons and one off pop up’s across the UAE are coming together in support of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The annual event highlights the importance of self-care as in UAE alone, a total of 1,054 cases of breast cancer were found this year. Here is how you can get involved in #Pinktober.

YNM’s designer Yasmin Al Mulla has created a blush pink abaya from Spanish raw silk that is delicately embroidered with a flower pattern to symbolizing hope, optimism and confidence. A percentage of the sales will be donated to breast cancer patients across the world.
Tea O’Clock
Just when you thought afternoon tea can’t get any better, Raffles Salon and luxury florists Forever Rose have come together to design a Forever Pink Afternoon Tea. During the whole month of October, Executive Pastry Chef Wolfgang Wagenleitner will be serving up delicious savoury and sweet treats such as the Chilled Herb Poached Prawn Salad with Elderflower Jelly, Lavender Honey Macaroons with a Pink Marzipan Ribbon with a cup of Persian rose tea.
Thoughtful Pampering
Next time you indulge in some TLC at one of the Tips & Toes salons, they will donate a free pampering treatment worth Dhs80 to a breast cancer sufferer when you spend Dhs300 or more. What we love is that you can also write a note of encouragement and support on the voucher. But that’s not it, Tips & Toes have also partnered with renowned hair extension experts M.E.F and have styled wigs for the sufferers who have lost their locks after enduring life-saving chemotherapy treatment.
Health Ride
Careem is offering hundreds of free mammography vouchers in partnership with Saudi German Hospital in Dubai and Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children in Abu Dhabi. While in ride, Careem captains will be giving away over 500 vouchers and pink roses courtesy of Alissar Flowers to female passengers on a first come first serve basis.
Brunch In Pink
Kenza at Ramada Downtown Dubai will host a special Breast Cancer Awareness Brunch on October 19. It will feature a Pink and Facts Corner with important information about breast cancer, a raffle for guests wearing pink to participate in. Twenty per cent of the proceeds from the brunch will be donated to Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) through Emirates Red Crescent, in line with Ramada Downtown Dubai’s long-standing partnership with the charity organisation. The property is also selling ‘Fight Cancer’ shirts at its reception desk to raise additional funds.

Jo Malone London will be donating part of the sale from 100ml bottle of Red Roses to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. What makes this scent special is the unique blend of seven types of roses mixed with violet leaves and zesty lemons – truly unique.
