The Northern Lights are a bucket list must and there’s nowhere better to take in their celestial beauty than from Finnish Lapland. And now you can get even closer to the action with the launch of Aurora Domes. Set by Lake Torassieppi, this igloo shaped tents have one transparent wall that faces north to give you the best views, completely away from light pollution.

But have no fear you won’t feel the cold. They’re completely insulated and come with a double bed and wood burning stove. Each is pitches 100 metres away from the Torasieppi Winter Village where you’ll have dinner and breakfast.

Tie it into a whole excursion such as Lakeside Auroras which also includes an Aurora photography workshop, husky safari ride, reindeer farm visit and sleigh ride, snow spa and deliciously locally sourced food.
