Emirates Tips For Hassle Free Travel From Dubai

Want to avoid festive travel hell of an over crowded airport and busy check in desk? Emirates Airlines share their tips for a hassle free journey from Dubai.

Numbers Game

More than 420,000 travellers will be passing through Emirates Terminal 3 during the weekend period, according to the airline’s latest booking figures. The busiest day for the airline is expected to be on Friday 15 December so make sure to plan ahead. Arrive at least three hours before scheduled departure to guarantee a stress-free check in and time to enjoy some Duty Free shopping. Customers who check in less than 60 minutes prior to their scheduled flight departure will not be accepted for travel which would seriously dampen your Christmas spirit.

Get your snacks and head to the gate 90 minutes before departure with the actual boarding starting 45 minutes before each flight.

Get Online

In addition to online check-in services, Emirates also offers convenient car park check-in facilities equipped with 16 check-in counters. Customers can use these to check in and drop off their luggage. Easy peasy.

Watch The Weight

Along with checked in baggage, passengers are strongly advised to adhere to carry-on baggage weight limits, which are 7kg for Economy Class and 14kg for Business and First Class. That seems plenty unless, you have decided to pack all your party shoes covered in jewelled embellishment in one bag.

Drop It Down

Anyone heading to Emirates Terminal 3 can choose to drop their luggage at one of the 46 dedicated bag drop counters in Economy Class or separate counters in First Class and Business Class from six hours to 90 minutes prior to departure. Families travelling with small children can use dedicated Family counters in Check in Zone 2. Now that’s some serious pre-planning.
