There are plenty of reasons to visit Dubai, but there is one particular landmark that has the most hits.

Over the last 11 months, taxi app Uber has gathered information on a number of rides taken to some of the most iconic spots around the world, and the Burj Khalifa (aka the tallest building in the world) has come in sixth place.

Standing alongside the biggest mall in the world, the half residence half Armani hotel tower is over 828 metres in height, has the highest outdoor observation deck in the world and, to top it all off, the lift has longest travel distance in the world.

In the ratings, the Burj Khalifa beat the Buckingham Palace seventh, Disneyland in California in eighth with the ninth spot going to The Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco and Sydney Opera House finishing in 10th.

Empire state building in New York was crowned the winner followed by Freedom Tower, also located in the Big Apple. The third spot went to CN Tower in Toronto, with fourth taken by Arc de Triomphe in Paris, with the Eiffel Tower following in fifth.
