Yellowstone’s winter adventure

If you’re after a real snow and nature fix this winter, then Yellowstone is the place to be. One of the USA’s most iconic National Parks (and the first), it’s packed during the summer but winter is a truly special time to visit.

Known as America’s ‘Serengeti’, this valley in Wyoming is one of the best places to spot native wildlife such as elk, bison and wolves.

The Yellowstone Winter Wildlife tour is a small group tour from Grand American Adventures, who have put together a seven day itinerary in a snow coach that gets you to the heart of the park, where you can meet tracking experts and local guides during the day and cosy up in front of log fires in traditional lodges once night falls. You can also try cross country skiing, hiking, snow-shoeing – all surrounded by the park’s legendary hot springs.
