If you are looking for the perfect location to celebrate Eid al-Adha or somewhere impressive and luxurious to spend the last of your summer days, look no further than the stunning cliff top town of Ravello. Perched high on the iconic Amalfi coast, this historic town exudes old school charm and luxury without the hectiness of it’s touristy neighbouring towns. Filled with flawless gardens, beautiful cathedrals, impressive villas and chic beach clubs, Ravello is your perfect Amalfi Coast pit stop for relaxation, culture and stylish surroundings. Having fallen in love with the picturesque town ourselves last month, we have the lowdown of where to stay, where to eat and what to do, to make this a trip one you will continuously want to repeat.

Where to Stay:

Palazzo Avino – This charming, 12th century Palazzo has been wonderfully restored and boasts tremendous views of the mountains and coast line. Filled with beautiful antiques and featuring a stunning decor, this palazzo instantly makes guests feel right at home. The hotel is small and intimate with only 42 rooms and features two spectacular restaurants, one being Michelin starred. Their bar instantly transports you to the old world and has a very extensive and impressive martini list. For those interested in wellness, there is an outdoor gym overlooking the impressive landscape and a luxurious holistic spa. For an added novelty, the roof of the hotel boast a stunning terrace, featuring waiter service, two jacuzzis and even more impressive views. Another highlight is the complimentary access to the hotel’s beach club, which is a 15 minute shuttle ride away. Dine on freshly baked pizzas and sip on martinis at this oh so chic beach club.

Belmond Hotel Caruso – The Belmond group has again, taken on a stunning property to add to their list of luxurious hotels. Perched next door to the Palazzo Avino, and boasting the same impressive views, this beautifully restored property exudes the charm and luxury that one would expect from a top five star hotel. Ceilings are adorned with beautiful Murals and the lobby and guest lounges are perfectly fitted with ornate paintings and stunning antiques. The grounds are equally as impressive with beautiful gardens for guests to enjoy and discover. The main restaurant and bar is at the top of the hotel, in a perfectly romantic setting, over looking the stunning mountainous coastline. The selling feature of this hotel is indeed, its famous infinity pool. Again, at the top of the hotel grounds, if you stand at the right angle it is hard to see where the pool ends and the ocean begins. Here is the perfect place to relax and unwind, along with deliciously baked pizzas from their exposed wood fired oven.

Said to boast the most prime position of the entire Amalfi Coast, this stunning medieval property features extensive grounds, plush gardens and even a heliport for those seeking an extra stylish entrance.
