Since its launch in 2008, the high jewellery brand has set our to create reinvent instinctive French jewellery. Speaking recently, Akillis Founder and Creative Director Caroline Gaspard told A&E that each item she designs is in some way a reflection of an aspect of her identity.
And for the collection, Gasper’s anticonformist side was channelled, and referencing the six times in which she has renewed her wedding vows in different locations are the six rows of gemstones from Paraïba that are an ode to travel and love.
The Guarani collection – which is composed of a necklace, bracelet and earrings – serves as an invitation to discover an unusual stone, the Paraïba tourmaline. The mesmerising vivid blue-green hue makes it a striking rare gem.
These are laid in with diamonds, and the design serves to be ultra-feminine and glamorous but also comfortable for the wearer. The careful design of each piece lessens the weight of the material.
Hence, the 180 carefully selected gemstones from Paraïba are placed in a perfectly aesthetic geometric alignment.
Shop the collection at Bloomingdales at The Dubai Mall.
