Team A&E got an exclusive invite to the launch of a new jewellery showcase of established and emerging designers – GemGèneve.
The new Geneva international gem and jewellery show opened it’s doors for the very first time for a VIP private view welcoming the world’s dealers, merchants, collectors and connoisseurs. Founders, Thomas Faerber and Ronny Totah, are antique jewellery and gem merchants who conceived and created this pioneering venture to mark a new and significant genre of show.
One of the talked about collections was the Style of Jolie, the philanthropic collaborative collection Robert Procop has created with Angelina Jolie. Procop revealed a special addition to the range: the Zahara limited edition series, created by him and Jolie in collaboration with her daughter, Zahara Jolie-Pitt. This vibrant, youthful series of rings, chain necklaces and pendants, and anklets in rose and white gold is set with a variety of stones, including black spinel, rose quartz and white crystal. Jolie and Procop have made a commitment to donate 100% of the profits from the Style of Jolie collection to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, the charity co-founded by Ms. Jolie.
Among the exhibitors was also a legendary antique jewellery, gem and pearl merchant, Paul Fisher, aged 91. His knowledge, passion and revered reputation has set the tone and the standard for GemGèneve that saw 147 exhibitors, gem merchants, antique jewellery dealers, pearl merchants, diamantaires, jewellers, from around the world present their unique pieces.
It is open to both trade and public and exhibits true excellence in the world of international gem and jewellery dealing.
