Bovet timepieces are renowned for their exquisite craftsmanship, heritage and artistry. Now Bovet has unveiled the Amadeo convertible case system after seven years of development.
Amadeo is an ingenious system that enables the user to convert his or her timepiece into a reversible wristwatch, a table clock, or a pocket watch for men’s models and a pendant watch for women’s models.
The Amadeo case is reversible with two distinct faces that usually display the hours and minutes on both sides. As will all Bovet timepieces, the second face can be fully personalised, and can feature miniature paintings or engravings.
Changing the way in which the two strands of the strap are attached enables the wearer to easily display the front or back of their timepiece on their wrist.
Timepieces that feature an Amadeo case are also easily converted into practical and elegant table clocks that can be beautifully displayed on a desk or bedside table. Invisible push-pieces have been incorporated into the Amadeo case’s two characteristic sapphire cabochons positioned on either side of the bow. Pushing the two cabochons at the same time releases the upper strand of the strap.
A further push-piece is located on the rear bezel. When this push-piece is activated, the rear bezel pivots on an invisible hinge, becoming a stand – and the watch is transformed into an elegant table clock.
Another option available is to use the chain that is provided with every timepiece equipped with the Amadeo system. By inserting the chain into the bow of the timepiece, the timepiece is instantly transformed into a pocket watch for men or a pendant watch for women.
