This iconic Dubai landmark is offering an array of different Orthodox Christmas menus across its many restaurants on and around the 7th of January. Highlights include the hotel’s Michelin Star Ossiano restaurant, which will serve a unique 11-course set menu by Chef Grégoire Berger, paired with drinks. Also on offer is a night of Peruvian delicacies and live entertainment at La Mar by Gaston Acurio, where guests can enjoy a selection of festive specials to mark the joyful season including nigiri kobe, cebiche chalaco and oysters. For those who prefer traditional Russian flavours, Saffron is hosting a unique evening brunch on both the 6th and 7th of January. The menu will consist of a lavish spread of fresh seafood and a range of favourite Russian delicacies, including vinaigrette salad, buckwheat with mushrooms, beef cutlet, lamb stew with carrot and cabbage pie. Fashion Avenue favourite, Novikov Café, is hosting a spectacular Orthodox Christmas menu this weekend. The dishes are meticulously crafted by the esteemed guest Chef Dimitri Yakovlev and include 10 specially curated dishes, including Olivier Salad, a traditional potato and egg salad elevated with succulent marinated salmon; Borsh Soup, a robust medley of beetroot, cabbage, potatoes, garlic served with sour cream; Beef Stroganoff expertly crafted to comfort and uplift the soul; Zapekanka, also known as Farmer’s Cheesecake, with a velvety soft filling and flourish of fresh berries. On the 7th of January Zala at Bab al Shams will be offering up a delectable festive feast featuring dishes such as Pelmeni Russian Turkey Dumpling, Blinis and Sour Cream and Pistachio with Blueberry Yule Log. There will also be live music at this desert oasis, a visit from Father Christmas and children’s entertainment, along with pony and camel rides for all the family.
La Maison Ani
The ever-popular Chef Izu is bringing an Orthodox Christmas menu like no other at his fabulous La Maison Ani restaurant in the city. Favourite dishes include foie gras, pain brioche et confiture de pêche (brioche with peach jam), and a mixed grilled platter including beef skewers, chicken skewers, lamb cutlets, meatballs and Padron peppers.
