Dior will stage its first-ever runway show in Ireland this December, as Creative Director Jonathan Anderson brings the French Maison’s Fall 2027 collection to Trinity College Dublin.

Taking place on 4 December 2026, the landmark presentation will be held inside the university’s historic Old Library, home to the celebrated Long Room and the Book of Kells. The culturally significant setting promises to provide a suitably dramatic backdrop for one of the season’s most anticipated collections.
The show will also mark an important homecoming for Anderson. Born in Northern Ireland, the designer began his fashion career in Dublin before establishing JW Anderson and becoming one of the industry’s most influential creative figures. He was appointed creative director of Dior in 2025, overseeing the House’s womenswear, menswear and haute couture collections.
Announcing the news, Anderson described the forthcoming presentation as a particularly meaningful moment in his career. “Showing at Trinity College Dublin is a dream come true,” he said. “I began my career in fashion in Dublin, so returning here feels deeply personal. To present this collection in such an extraordinary setting, at an institution with such an important cultural history, is a real honour.”
The choice of venue offers a powerful meeting point between fashion, literature and Irish heritage. Dating back to the 18th century, Trinity College Dublin’s Old Library is one of the country’s most recognisable cultural landmarks, housing centuries-old manuscripts and some of Ireland’s most significant literary treasures.
With its spectacular setting, cultural significance and deeply personal meaning for the designer, Dior’s Dublin debut is set to become one of the defining runway moments of the Fall 2027 season.
