The Best Restaurants to Discover in Dubai This Autumn

Dubai’s dining scene continues to evolve, with a fresh collection of international names and ambitious culinary concepts arriving across the city this autumn. From Michelin-starred Indian cuisine to Japanese omakase and waterfront Mediterranean dining, these five new openings are worth adding to the calendar.

Gymkhana, DIFC

London’s celebrated two-Michelin-starred Indian restaurant made its UAE debut in September, bringing its distinctive interpretation of Indian cuisine to Gate Village in DIFC. Inspired by the exclusive members’ clubs of colonial-era India, the two-storey restaurant features richly detailed interiors, a Peacock Bar and a menu spanning tandoori specialities, curries and biryanis.

Taiga, Bluewaters Island

Taiga brings an elevated Japanese dining experience to Bluewaters Island. At its centre is an intimate 19-seat teppanyaki counter, where guests can experience premium Japanese ingredients, including Wagyu beef and seafood, prepared with precision and theatrical flair.

L’Abysse and Casea 101, One&Only The Palm

French chef Yannick Alléno introduced his acclaimed omakase concept to Dubai in October. With just 34 seats, including a ten-seat sushi counter, L’Abysse combines Japanese culinary traditions with French gastronomic techniques. Led alongside sushi master Ken Ishikawa, the restaurant offers an intimate multi-course experience.

Opening on the same day, Casea 101 offers a different interpretation of Mediterranean dining. Also created by Yannick Alléno, the waterfront restaurant takes inspiration from the Italian Riviera, with coastal cooking, fresh seafood and Mediterranean ingredients served against views of the Arabian Gulf.

ROKA The Palm, Six Senses The Palm

The latest addition to Dubai’s Japanese dining scene, ROKA The Palm is set to open on the 20th of November. Located on the rooftop of Six Senses The Palm, the restaurant will bring its signature robatayaki cooking to the island, alongside an open kitchen, panoramic views and a secluded garden-inspired terrace.
