In an interview with Business of Fashion, British model and television presenter, Alexa Chung has revealed that she is set to launch her own fashion label. The effortlessly cool Brit, who has helped to design various successful capsule collections with other fashion brands has decided that now is the perfect time to branch out on her own and put her creative skills to the test. The fashion line named Alexachung is set to hit stores in May 2017.
The label will feature denim, daywear, eveningwear, shoes and jewellery. It will be designed by Chung and a team of six designers, including Haider Ackermann alum Edwin Bosdon. The clothing line will be sold at selected luxury retailers in London, New York, Paris and Hong Kong and will also be available to buy online. “I feel as though I’m kind of prepared to do it now,” Chung told BOF. “If it had been any time sooner than this, I either wouldn’t be responsible enough or have been able to take on this kind of feat.”
We certainly cannot wait to see what Alexa Chung has in store for us and we will be eagerly awaiting the launch of this exciting new brand!
