At the EE British Academy Film Awards in 2016, luxury menswear brand Hackett London will be celebrating its fifth consecutive year as the Official Menswear Stylist. To commemorate this landmark year in the partnership, Hackett will launch a collection of five dinner jackets fit for the red carpet entitled, ‘Five Golden Years’.
The capsule range features a style for every leading man at the awards, whether opting for something classic or more adventurous; each slim fit dinner jacket is made from rich luxurious cotton velvet in a peak lapel or shawl collar.
British
The shawl collar royal blue ‘British Jacket’ is classic but striking in a traditional British style; the jacket has a modern update with all velvet offering, including the shawl collar. The rich royal blue hue creates a time-honored feel in the luxe velvet.
Academy
The shawl collar wine paisley ‘Academy Jacket’ links the period allure of the paisley print to the work of the industry’s creative excellence; both beautiful and timeless. The indigo paisley print on the opulent wine hue with the micro shawl adds a touch of bohemian elegance to this formalwear look.
Film
The peak lapel wine tartan ‘Film Jacket’ is the perfect attire for the director nominated in the Best Film category. The shadow tartan print engulfed in the rich wine tone of the velvet allures to the dapper gentleman. Finished off with a black silk lapel and black silk buttons.
Television
The peak lapel camouflage print ‘Television Jacket’ gives an urban spin to a traditional sophisticated look with the green, purple and charcoal shades of the camou adding a sartorial charm. A jacket fit for any inspiring actor gracing the television screens.
Arts
The peak lapel charcoal print ‘Arts Jacket’ is inspired by the dynamic abstract patterns from the Omega Workshops in Edwardian Britain. The boldly coloured prints add an artistic contrast next to the black silk lapel.
