One of our favourite online shopping destination Farfetch is coming to the Middle East in a special partnership with Chalhoub Group.
The joint venture will see the launch an Arabic-language site early this year that will house brands that will appeal to local consumers and allow you to shop some of Chalhoubs top names including Level Shoes, Level Kids and Tryano.
“We are the beginning of the online journey,” said Patrick Chalhoub, chief executive of Chalhoub Group. “We definitely think there is this gap in the market… only 0.5 percent of the luxury business even gets to the Middle East through their e-commerce platforms.”
The e-commerce market in the region is still in it’s infancy but with a fast growing demand for the digitally savvy shoppers and popularity of online platforms like ounass.com and themodist.com, we imagine this partnership to be a quick success story.

Most choose the round frames, but Prada and Prabal Gurung offer a sci-fi approach this season. The smaller the better and make sure to wear these super small shades low on the nose like Bella Hadid and Rihanna.

Claire Waight Keller’s debut Couture collection for Givenchy was made for powerful modern women, with a small introduction of men’s couture, and we have an exclusive look at some of the backstage snaps that have not been seen anywhere else.
The designer delivered pieces that were worthy of their couture status and also wearable. Strong tailoring and emphasis on black dominated making us want to sprint to our nearest tailor for a new suit. Show notes cited the lunar cycle with one dress reflecting this with black-and-white spheres as decoration, but it were the intricately crafted gowns with multi coloured skirts, structural layers of tulle and lace and bold coats with feather trim that struck a chord and made everyone look at Givenchy, and Waight Keller, in a whole new way.

Unlike other products in your daily skincare routine, exfoliators require a careful approach.
If you exfoliate too often then the skin is stripped of natural oils and becomes overly exposed and damaged – not do it enough and dead skin cells block the pores resulting in imperfections. Lucky for us, the cosmetics industry is packed with a bunch of exfoliators for you to choose from.
If you have a normal or combination skin then doing it 2 to 3 times a week should is enough, but for those with delicate skin once is plenty. After cleansing you can apply exfoliating lotion with a cotton pad and sweep it down the T-zone, across the forehead, down the nose, and once over each cheek which will shift stubborn dead cells. Home peels are a popular choice for those with normal skin and are best when the glycolic-acid concentration below 10 percent.
Scrubs are a more aggressive approach and those with sensitive skin should steer clear. Instead, try using an exfoliating clay mask once a week that will lift impurities but keep the complexion hydrated.
Bringing comfort and style together, Morocco based shoe brand Zyne delivers babouche slippers that are hand decorated in embroidery and beading.
The popularity of slip on backless mules is not slowing down and the creator Zineb Britel brings Moroccan national shoe into the 21st century by imbuing this classic slipper with the spirit of wanderlust and effortless glamour. Customarily created by hand out of leather, the babouche is an individual style statement – moulding itself to the wearer’s foot over time, so there will be no one borrowing them from you.
On top of that, every pair of shoes is crafted by Moroccan women from one of the cooperatives the brand partners with. As a result, these women earn money to help their own families and gain a sense independence and confidence. Now that’s a label that delivers on more than one level.

Chopard have launched four luxury fragrances capturing the various scents of the Arabian Gardens of Paradise.
Alberto Morillas, Master Perfumer behind these new scents named Miel D’arabie, Rose Seljuke, Jasmin Moghol and Orange Mauresque, worked with bold ingredients such as calabrian bergamot, indian sambac jasmine, damascena rose and provence honey to bring together a series of expressive fragrances. Our top pick? Miel d’Arabie that’s reminiscent of precious spices, tea infusions and sweet pomegranate, blended with a floral and balsamic aromas of honey extract.
“I wanted to recreate the peaceful and restoring aura of the oasis, and it’s tradition of hospitality. I imagined the reassuring scents of vegetal ambers, the touch and feel of warm sand in the powerful shadow of sky-reaching palm trees.I wrapped everything into the rich aroma honey, to create a special sense of bliss and abundance,” says Morillas.
As well as creating luxury fragrances, Chopard commited to The Journey to Sustainable Luxury and launched a new initiative that will place natural, positive and ethical luxury perfume-making at the heart of its inspiration as a Maison de Parfums. Now that’s a fragrance with substance.

Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week showcases the finest craftsmanship from the leading design houses in the world – but your everyday couture-level wardrobe can be found on the cobbled streets of the French capital.
In between shows, style stars strutted in their wardrobes finest giving us a few new ideas of dressing this season. Plaid print was everywhere and looked best in a form of a long coat while rodeo jackets with fringing and cow print were also championed by a few savvy fashionistas.
Never has there been more emphasis on sunglasses and this time round the smaller the better with some futuristic styles that wouldn’t look amiss in a sci-fi movie. There was a lot of love for bold colours while shoes remained low and comfortable but with plenty of chic.

Dior New SS18 Campaign is Finally Here
A wide fit may have put you off in the past, but this seasons trousers are given a high waist resulting in leg lengthening power.
This feminine silhouette has the potential to compliment any body shape, the trick is to find the right style for you. If you’re more athletic, try an extra wide fit that will add an illusion of curves, but if you’re on a petite side go for a cropped pair and style with heels. Flares bring a vintage 70’s vibe and are perfect for showing off your waistline, meanwhile a tailored straight leg is ideal for everyday.
Look for satin or lace wide-leg trousers for the evening, but keep it slick for the office with a clean cut power pair in a bold hue like red, and remember to balance the proportions with a fitted top.
Shop A&E edit for the best wide leg trousers now.
The Dior FW18 collection is for the young and fearless spirits, inspired by the past with strong relevance to today.
Maria Grazia Chiuri looked back to a time a half-century ago when ambitious thoughts and actions were placing the power and energy of youth center stage and influencing generations to come. Protests, social revolutions and female affirmation defined the 60’s and set the ball rolling into the following decades up to the present day.
The theme starts all the way with the façade of the venue which was decorated in newspaper cutouts and archival protest posters. This continued inside with floor to ceiling of manifestos, magazine covers, feminist slogans and once the audience took their seats, we saw a strong and ambitious Dior girls strutting down the runway in structured plaid suiting styled with slogan T-shirts and tartan pleated skirt worn with sheer shirts.
The feminist spirit was channeled in graffiti print dresses and separates as well as oversized knits adorned with piece signs and all paired with heavy duty boots and newspaper boy caps. Other hero pieces to note are patchwork cropped trousers, quilted boxy jackets in contrast prints, intensely red sunglasses and the return of the saddle bag.
What’s Dior’s message to women? You are unique, outspoken and powerful. Chiuri’s pieces are not for aimless trends and seasonal purchases, they have a story to tell and want you to go forth and conquer the world, which will be easier to do in a belted leather biker and silver wide leg trousers.
Watch how the set came together with the help of 150 people working on it for three weeks before the show.

Jacquemus Unveils Men’s Line During FW18 Show
If Lady Mary from Downton Abbey was to step into 2018, she would choose Alberta Ferretti for her Pre-Fall wardrobe.
Filled with heritage check, rich colours of autumn such as burnt orange and moss green along with plenty of decadent embroidery – you can image a dame of a Scottish Manor taking a wintery walk in shearling lined cape and then coming home to relax in front of glowing fireplace before changing into a lace trimmed gown for the evening.
The collection feels sophisticated yet modern with shorter cuts on the skirts, neat feminine silhouettes that show off the waitline, shimmering fabrics, over-the-knee boots and a stag illustrated on chunky knits.
Town or country, you can rely on Ferretti to make you feel special in any situation.
Let us introduce you to the first handbag collection by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy.
Artistic director has created a selection of practical and chic bags that carry the initials G V 3 as a tribute to the the house’s historic address on the 3 Avenue George V in Paris. The accessories look polished, yet the design reflects vintage sensibility delivering a timeless look.
In keeping with her vision of the Givenchy spirit, Waight Keller manages to deliver pieces that not only look good, but are also functional. The three-compartment accordion structure of the G V 3 maximize capacity while minimizing volume – ideal for every day.
Smooth, shiny flat-grained leather mixes with the tactile softness of suede, their colours deepened with a hand-dabbed “Tamponato” finish. Sleek kid goat leather and lambskin are heat-treated separately to display their unique grains while exotic leathers, such as cat snake or black and white modern pythons, are individually dyed and hand-painted to bring out each bag’s individual attitude.
Chain straps nod simultaneously to the men’s traditional pocket watch chain and to women’s jewelry. Our top pick? The belt bags that we spotted during Waight Keller’s début for Givenchy.
Available in selected Givenchy stores across the Middle East from March 2018.

Makeup artist extraordinaire Charlotte Tilbury shares her tips on how she created the mesmerizing Golden Globes beauty look for Penelope Cruz.
FACE
It’s important to start with a good clean base and Tilbury uses a clay mask and a sheet mask. She then drenches the skin with moisture Rénergie Day Cream and a touch of eye cream to ensure the makeup goes on like magic followed by La Base Pro primer which is key to a natural glow.
“On Penélope I created a foundation base using Teint Idole Ultra 24H Long Wear Foundation that minimized shine in the right places, mattified the T-zone and gave her cheeks a healthy, youth-boosted glow,” she says.
EYES
Those bold smokey eyes are stuff of dreams which you can achieve at home by lining the eyes with the Grandiôse Liner in Matte Noir – don’t forget to add Penélope’s signature feline flick. Tilbury then used Color Design 5 Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Bronze Amour to prime the eye with a champagne shade back and forth across the eyelid. Add the bronze and copper shades around the outer corner of the eyes and finish with the chocolate brown hue along the lash-line. Finally, go heavy on Grandiôse Mascara.
LIPS
“I lined the lips with an incredible iconic pillow-y lip liner, and then filled in the lips using L’Absolu Rogue Lipstick in Crème de Marron to her lips,” says Tilbury.
She then added a golden-flecked Blush Subtil in Aplum onto her cheeks for a natural flushed look and voila Cruz was red carpet ready.
Time for you to enjoy a moment in the spotlight.

Make every day brighter with Louis Vuitton’s latest fragrance, Le Jour Se Lève.
The newest scent, out in March, joins the line up of seven fragrances that launched back in 2016 and captures the feeling of a sunny morning with notes of zesty mandarin that are balanced with jasmine and tangy blackcurrant.
Composed by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, Louis Vuitton’s Master Perfumer, this fragrance strives to radiate luminous positivity – even on the gloomiest days.
“Mandarin is a marvellous citrus fruit because it’s possible to diffuse from it simultaneously the optimism of its flesh, the freshness of the zest and the oral aspect of the tree,” says the perfumer.
Presented in the same iconic bottle as the original collection of Louis Vuitton perfumes, this new composition features the same visual characteristics and may prove to be as popular as the original seven.

New Season Accessories For Men
Many fabulous pairs have passed through our fashion desk at A&E this year and there are certain shoe trends from 2017 that will permanently remain in our minds, and our wardrobes.
Shine Bright
The Saint Laurent disco boots have become iconic of 2017 with Rihanna being the first to wear them with many other celebrities following suit. The glittery creations were selling out as soon as they hit the stores and online encouraging a number of other brands to release their own versions.
Art Deco
Designers like J.W. Anderson, Jacquemus and Marni focused on creating walking pieces of art by playing with proportions and structure of the heels. Inject some personality into your shoe collection by choosing oversized block heels or sphere shapes.
Open Heels
Everyone is rejoicing at the staying power of the backless mules. Season after season designers are creating a wider variety of these comfortable yet stylish attire for your feet. Christian Louboutin are going big on mules next season and so are Tibi with their kitten heel versions.
White Out
At first the white shoe trend surprised us, but now you’ll struggle to find anyone who doesn’t own at least one pair of pearly whites. From 70’s boots to slip on slides, white adds a freshness to any outfit.
Get Sporty
Sneakers aren’t going anywhere and with new bolder offering from the likes of Louis Vuitton next season, comfort and style are getting a sportier look. Think chunky soles, bold colour blocking and extravagant lacing.
